Single-Ingredient Meals: Nourish Your Body with Real Ingredients [Simple Health Tip]

🍽 Q. What do I mostly eat? A. Single-ingredient Whole Foods…

Whole Food Simplicity…This can be a confusing concept, and it reminds me of how disconnected we’ve become from real food sources.

A few years ago, I would’ve said—single ingredient? What do you mean??

The finest and best foods are only one ingredient! I’ll explain…

🍌 Take a banana, for example: it’s simply a banana – no artificial flavor, color, or sweetness. 1 ingredient!

In this photo, you see a plate full of food, yet it only has five ingredients (excluding salt and pepper): venison/beef patties (2 ingredients), 🐄🦌 avocado, 🥑 (1 ingredients) tomato, 🍅 (1 ingredients) and an egg.🥚(1 ingredients)

This simplicity stands in stark contrast to packaged foods with long lists of unpronounceable ingredients – chemicals, dyes, and seed oils. Our ancestors might not have encountered more than 40 ingredients in their entire lifetime due to eating whole foods.

🥩 Next time you cook, play a little game and try making a meal with as few ingredients as possible. You’ll be amazed at what you can whip up with under six ingredients! Not only does this test your cooking skills, but it can also help you become healthier by choosing real food.

Time Saving Hack: ⏰

The photo also reminded me of a simple hack for busy seasons. When I was launching my first business, we had little time for cooking and doing the dishes. Seriously, every hour mattered. We decided to temporarily switch to paper plates, disposable cutlery, and even throwaway casserole dishes, making meal prep quick and easy. This kept us from compromising our health during a crazy busy season. Yes, there are less “toxic” options to eat with, but the time we saved and money versus ordering DoorDash was so worth it!
