GUIDE TO COOKING EGGS: FRYING, BOILING, AND SCRAMBLING!

There is no such thing as too many eggs, in my opinion! There almost isn’t a day that we don’t enjoy fresh eggs, either fried, scrambled or boiled! There are more ways to prepare eggs, but these are my favorites!

Frying Eggs 101:

1 - Heat a pan on the stove over medium heat.

2 - Add a small amount of oil or butter to the pan and swirl it around to coat the bottom of the pan.
Step Three: Crack the egg into the pan, taking care not to break the yolk.

3 - Let the egg cook until the whites are set, about 2-3 minutes.

4 - Flip the egg and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
If you prefer your yolk fully cooked, you can flip the egg over and cook it for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute.

5 - Remove the egg from the heat and season with salt and pepper to taste.

6 - Slide the egg onto a plate and enjoy!

Fried eggs are quick, easy, and delicious! Repeat steps 3-7 for each additional egg you are cooking.

Scrambled Eggs 101:

1 -
Grab a pan and place it on the stove over medium heat.

2 - Once the pan is hot, add a small pat of butter to the pan and swirl it around until it melts. Use about 1-2 teaspoons of butter for every 2 eggs you are cooking.

3 - Crack the eggs into the pan and lightly mix them with a fork or whisk. Use 2-3 eggs per person, depending on how hungry they are.

4 - Let the eggs cook for a few seconds without stirring.
5 - Start stirring the eggs with a spatula or wooden spoon, scraping

the bottom of the pan as you go.

6 - Continue stirring the eggs until they start to form soft curds.

7 - Season the eggs with salt and pepper to taste.

8 - Once the eggs are cooked to your desired level of doneness, remove the pan from the heat and serve.

Enjoy your delicious scrambled eggs!

Boiling Eggs 101:

1 - Grab a saucepan and fill it with enough water so the eggs will be covered by about an inch. (If you're boiling more than one egg, make sure they're not crowded in the saucepan.)

2 - Add eggs to the saucepan and water. Add the saucepan on the stove and turn up the heat to high until water starts boiling.

3 - Turn heat down slightly so water doesn’t go everywhere and set a timer according to how you like your eggs done:

  • Soft-boiled: 4-6 minutes

  • Medium-boiled: 7-9 minutes

  • Hard-boiled: 10-12 minutes

4 - Once the timer goes off, take the eggs out of the boiling water and plop them in a bowl of cold water to cool down.

Or, drain hot water from the saucepan in the sink and run cold water over the eggs until cool.

5 - Once cooled, peel the eggs and dig in!
(Cooking times may vary based on the size of the eggs and your location, so adjust accordingly.)
